The CTIF HazMat Commission met in Warsaw from 4th to 7th June 2025. 15 delegates joined from 10 countries. These included Germany, Estonia, Greece, Luxembourg, Finland, France, Poland, UK, CERN and Switzerland.
Discussions included concerns around firefighting foam regulations and the experience of the various countries in complying with these as well as looking at lessons learned in each country during our meetings.
There was also an interesting discussion around an LNG incident in Estonia (Bing Videos). Hopefully we will have a RETEX paper for this one at some point in the future.
The two photos with one showing us pausing with a minute of silence for the Ukrainian firefighters who lost their lives during our meeting and the second showing us getting a tour around Fire Station 6 in Warsaw and looking at all of their vehicles and equipment including the decontamination vehicle you see in the background.
