On Monday December 12, the world´s first international drone conference opened in Paris. CTIF has been supporting the host IEDO with this conference and our president Milan Dubravac held the opening speech on Monday,
The drone conference was held on December 12 - 13, 2022, at the Cité des Sciences et de l'Industrie, and it was a great success for IEDO and also for CTIF as co-organizer.!
Vendelin Clicques, president of IEDO, says that more than 200 participants from 31 countries were present at the two day conference. There were 17 international speakers, attendees from 54 fire departments, 25 police agencies, 19 Search and Rescue associations, one coast guard service and one medical service.
Most of the participants were from Europe, but also some from Japan and the USA. We were also happy to welcome one participant from Ukraine.
This English language conference was organised by the international non-profit association IEDO, which brings together drone teams specializing in crisis and emergency situations.
CTIF was supporting the IEDO Conference 2022 within the framework of the Memorandum of Understanding between our organisations, which we entered into into in early 2021.

Aimed mainly at fire fighters, law enforcement officers, customs officers, medical and paramedical personnel, coast guards, military personnel with rescue missions and rescue associations, the conference aims to create an international exchange space on the use of UAVs in rescue missions or to secure human lives.
As Vendelin Clicques, president of the IEDO association, says:
"It is essential to promote and support international exchanges on the use of this advanced technology that saves lives every week around the world. By exchanging information among themselves, emergency responders are becoming more, more acculturated, and therefore more efficient about the infinite possibilities of drones across the spectrum of rescue and public safety missions".
IEDO CONF 2022 is the ideal place to meet other experts and UAS specialists from the world of public safety. Let’s talk about security, let’s talk about data, new technologies, tomorrow’s regulatory challenges... Is unmanned traffic management really that far away? Is Artificial Intelligence ready today for the emergency services?
IEDO CONF 2022 It will also be the first ever international IEDO conference. All first responders are invited to participate, such as : firefighters, police officers, volunteers from search and rescue associations, coast guards, customs officers, etc.
This is a unique opportunity to bring together all the actors and specialists in the field of emergency drones, fire and rescue drones and public safety drones.
It will be a meeting space to exchange experiences, learn from each other, build your network and prospect new products in the drone market
All lectures have been in English with the option of a French translation.
