The general secretary of CTIF Roman Sykora participated at the General Assembly of the Confederation of Fire Protection Associations Europe (CFPA-E).
The meeting was in Wallisellen (close to Zürich), Switzerland on May 31st.
Mr Sykora made a presentation about CTIF and opened for more future cooperation. Possible examples of areas where the two organizations could have deeper cooperation are with the Commissions for Fire Prevention and Fire Investigation, the HazMat Commission and the Commission for Extrication & New Technology, especially regarding the guidelines for lithium battery storage and handling.
Stephan Wevers (President of the FEU) also made a presentation about FEU.
Informal discussions were also heald about future challenges for our firefighters (climate change, new technologies, AI, Changing Demographics and Social Dynamics, Mental/ Physical Health and Resilience,...)
CTIF has a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with CFPA-E.
